USDA RHS Awards $275K Grant to SAFE Housing, Inc.
We are thrilled to announce that the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Housing Service has awarded a grant of $275,762 to SAFE Housing, Inc. to repair and improve low-income homes in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
This grant will enable SAFE Housing, Inc. to implement essential repairs that might otherwise be financially out of reach for many residents. The USDA Rural Housing Service is actively uplifting marginalized communities through this initiative.

It not only addresses immediate housing needs but also contributes to the overall well-being of our community," said Andrea Everhart, executive director of SAFE Housing, Inc. “The repairs will cover a range of issues, from essential structural enhancements to energy-efficient upgrades, ensuring that homes are not only habitable but also sustainable long term.”

Adams County residents may visit www.safehousing.us/contact to apply for home repair services under this grant. To be eligible for services, the gross household income for a family of 1-4 must fall below $76,500 or below $101,000 for a family of 5-8. Income verification & proof of homeownership must be submitted with each application in order to be reviewed.
